Our school

Tent Hill Lower State School is known for its family-friendly and caring atmosphere where every child is treated as an individual. This is captured within our school vision:

'Growing beautiful futures in the valley of opportunities.'

This vision was developed in consultation with our school community and identifies the importance that parents, staff and students place on student growth and learning at Tent Hill Lower. Our students' futures are at the heart of all decision making and staff are constantly ensuring that all students are given multiple opportunities for self growth and development as well as academic growth, to ensure they reach their full potential.

Our school values statement, known as 'BUDS', was also developed in consultation with our school community.

BUDS stands for :

• Stay safe
• Tent Hill Lower has adopted the Positive Behaviour for Learning to create a positive learning environment for all students. BUDS forms the basis of our School Expectation Matrix and all students are explicitly taught these positive expectations on a weekly basis. This has had a positive impact on our school culture and climate and also significantly improved on-task learning time.
